IT IS THAT TIME ..... OLD HABITS DIE HARD

ELECTIONS…….ELECTIONS.....
The mood has changed, once again politics has reminded us we are not one. We have a political divide and hence inclined to our political alignment.
In Kenya this has been based more on tribal ground. Therefore we find ourselves supporting one of our own as it seems right regardless of whether they have delivered or not. Whether they are fit for that position or not.
Actually two things matter- your tribe and wealth.
We quickly forget about your integrity and concentrate on handouts. Campaigning requires money and machinery sadly mostly the rich are privileged here.
Their manifesto are the same, we have the same problems year in year out and they always promise to change our lives. Some deliver – a little number of them.
We cannot run away from it. Anyone who pretends they are not following politics must be burying their heads in the sand. You must follow politics, know your leaders, and make them accountable.
The darkest place in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis” Dante Alighieri
I am happy that this time round a quite number of youth have contested for various seats. This is a good sign, the future belongs to us and we must position ourselves. For those who also went for the enticing packages and corruption associated, what can we say, at least don’t sell your country to the graves, let us observe integrity.
Election comes once in 5 years. Let us not forget who our real neighbors are. After elections some of these politicians will not been seen until say near the next elections.
All am saying here has been said before in many ways/words but it’s not bad to continue stressing. Let us maintain peace. Engage and argue facts. Vote wisely and above all let’s pray for our country Kenya.
“In the end, that’s what this election is about. Do we participate in a politics of cynicism or a politics of hope” Barrack Obama.
Stay safe.
