SHALL WE CATCH UP?

 Happy happy new year.

Sounds cliche but yes really Happy new year am sending you all the good and positive vibes that come with the new year cause we all need it.

Thank God for a new year. Feels like another chance God gives you to start over, set new goals. The past is gone, a chance to reflect and see what worked and what did not work.

This year I have taken the goal setting a little serious. Had a little distraction last year when I felt I didn't get to achieve most of the things I had on my vision board. Felt like I had failed but thank God for a friend who reminded me of the wins I had achieved in my year. See those were not even on my goals but alignment is key.

Maybe we can help each other this time round, that we may be able to identify the small wins even as we wait for the bigger picture. So I realised in my goal settings I was always an elephant expecting to give birth the same time as a Virginian opposum( had to google this, the gestation period is actually 12days wow)

What am I doing different? Am actually using the help of a coach, in her book she clearly narrates the goal setting process with clear guidelines, simplicity and online tests to get you to the right track.  Breaking them down to different areas of your life:- family, relationships, health and well being, personal development, career growth, finances, environment, fun hobbies & recreation. You might have been crucifying yourself and you actually did well in one of these many areas only that you did not realise it was a win. The task is to rate yourself in all areas and have short term and long term goals towards them, identify daily routines/ action points that you need to get to your goal and have daily routine checks, focus and to do list. 

Sound easy right? Atleast now you can track your progress and wins, form a habit which will eventually create a lifestyle we hope to manifest. Simple? or maybe not, you choose. But definitely worth my coins and effort.

I have now SMART goals: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time Based.
